Nike will release excellent-looking sneakers in the coming days -- the Metcon 1 and Air Max 95 Ultra shoes.

The Nike Metcon 1 will arrive at retailers on Thursday in Black/Varsity Red-White colorway, which is simply dubbed as the "Varsity Red" edition of the shoe, but is being coined as the "Banned" edition.

The Nike Metcon 1 "Varsity Red" features black-based Flywire upper part combined with varsity red hints on several portions, including the Nike Swoosh logo and heel area. The shoe is finished off with a white midsole and outsole, which also bears a varsity red Nike Swoosh.

According to Nike, this edition pays tribute to the original colorway of the Air Jordan 1 -- the same shoe Michael Jordan was not allowed to use earlier in his career. Like the Air Jordan 1, the Metcon 1 was banned at CrossFit due to their partnership with Reebok. On the official product page, Nike took a swipe at Reebok and CrossFit.

"During the biggest event in the world of high-intensity training, our athletes have been banned from wearing the Metcon 1," Nike wrote. "This colorway pays homage to Nike's first outlawed shoe, the Air Jordan 1, and it's designed to stand strong in any competition-whether it's allowed or not."

Nike also noted that this model is perfectly made for high-intensity training, which includes lifting, jumping, running and cutting drills. Because of its strategic design, Nike said that the Metcon 1 will help athletes train at a high level, while maintaining full speed and versatility.

The Nike Metcon 1 "Varsity Red" edition, which has a "Don't Ban Our Shoe. Beat Our Shoe." tagline, will be available starting 10 a.m. on Thursday and will be available for $130 on Nike.com and select stores worldwide. More photos and details about this training shoe are available on this link.

Meanwhile, Nike will also release a special Nike Air Max 95 Ultra pack, which includes two iconic models. The Air Max 95 Ultra Jacquard and Women's Air Max 95 Ultra will arrive at retailers on Thursday with much-improved features and appearance, but still have the well-remembered human anatomy-inspired design.

The Nike Air Max 95 Ultra Jacquard sports a one-piece woven upper with Flywire materials, while the Women's Air Max 95 Ultra has a black-based, no-sew upper part that gives it a very clean look. These shoes will be available for $185 and $125 per pair, respectively. More photos and details can be seen here.
