The iPad Pro is going to blow the socks off of current Android tablets with a super big, extremely detailed display, advanced features and power to spare. 

According to various reports two iPad Pro screens are being tested by Apple. The screens being tested are a 2K and a 4K panel. The 2K screen amounts to a slightly highly than Full HD resolution. 4K on the other hand is four times as detailed as Full HD. Resolution bumps aside, 4K panels provide a greater color gamut than traditional displays. This means that a 4K iPad Pro will provide more saturated, lifelike images than competing displays.

So the amount of pixels in the iPad Pro is spectacular, but how big will the display be? The screen size will be 12.9-inch, according to various sources. That is nearly three inches larger than the current iPad Air tablet. All that extra screen size may make this tablet a Macbook Air-esque device. Apple is also making sure that the iPad Pro will be the perfect educational device according to Forbes.

Eye tracking is an interesting feature that may or may not actually make it into the final mass produced consumer iPad Pro. Eye tracking basically means that sensors track what your eyes are looking at. For instance if you gaze up a webpage or document may scroll up accordingly. Android devices like the best selling Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone has implemented this technology. It's still touchy at times though. If the madly skilled iOS engineers do go ahead with iPad Pro eye tracking expect it to be very precise. 

Now, it's important to differentiate between eye tracking and eye scanning. The iPad Pro will most likely still rely on the traditional four digit password and possibly touch ID to secure your device. Full blown retina scanning, while possible, would be cost prohibitive at this point and basically make touch ID an afterthought. Apple has put too much money into touch ID to abandon it at this point in time.

So when will this bad boy be released? Cult of Mac reports that Apple device manufacturer Foxconn will begin production on the iPad Pro for a Winter 2014 or Spring 2015 release. Other rumors report an aggressive, ambitious Spring 2013 launch.
