There was a lot of Latino pride at the 2015 Premios Juventud held on July 16 at the BankUnited Center in Miami.

Latin music's Spanish version of "The Teen Choice Awards" included huge wins for some of Latin music's newest artists, performances by plenty of reggaeton artists, and empowering speeches.

Taking home a large portion of the awards were Mexican singer and newcomer Luis Coronel, who took home four awards, and Enrique Iglesias, who, although not present at the ceremony, received six awards.

The ceremony, hosted by William Levy and Ninel Conde, opened with a dance-filled performance by Ricky Martin. The show also marked the musical return of ex-RBD member Anahí, whose new single "Rumba" featured rapper Wisin.

Urban music took the stage for most of the night with performances by Nicky Jams, Wisin Y Yandel, and Pitbull. J. Balvin took the stage twice. The second time for a sultry duet with pop star Becky G.

Other performances included those by Gloria Trevi, Maluma, Alejandro Sanz, and a first time performance by Fifth Harmony, who sang the Spanish-language version of "Worth It."

Pitbull had one of the night's most memorable moments when he called out Donald Trump during his first acceptance speech for his Best Urban Artist win.

"I wanna say something while I have the microphone," said the Cuban rapper. "Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, you all better step up your game, because Donald Trump cannot be president! I'm not a politician but I'm an artist and I'm Latino."

The rapper also added that Trump better be careful with "El Chapo," the Mexican drug cartel leader who recently escaped from prison, reported USA Today.

Journalist Jorge Ramos also took the stage and encouraged all of the youth present to remember who supported Latinos and who didn't when Election Day comes.

The ceremony also paid tribute to the late and beloved Mexican singer Joan Sebastian who passed on July 10, and honored television legend Don Francisco with the Icon of Generations award.

The night also included some surprising snubs for some of the biggest stars. Marc Anthony and Romeo Santos, who was up for six awards, didn't win any awards. J. Balvin who was up for four awards only won one for touring with Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.
