Imagine marrying the perfect woman. A woman so beautiful that it's almost unnatural. Well, it turns out appearances really can be deceiving. Jian Feng, of China, married the woman of his dreams and they went on to have a child. When the child was born Feng noticed that she was very bad looking.

"I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues. Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me," reports gossipwelove.com.

After confronting his unnamed wife head on about his daughter's ghoulish appearance the woman spilled the awful truth. She was a zero who wanted so desperately to become a ten that she spent thousands on plastic surgery. Her appearance dramatically improved. The marriage continued to deteriorate to the point where the man filed a lawsuit.

Internet commenters are abuzz with largely sympathetic feelings for the husband.

"When you are in a true relationship, you tell your spouse everything. Past present and future -- if not, then you don't respect them" a male Facebook user wrote.

Perhaps surprisingly even women sided with the husband. One female commentator mentioned that, "Of course I would [sue] -- if you start a relationship with a lie, where does it end?"

But not everyone feels all warm and fuzzy towards the judgmental dad.

"I feel bad for the kid, having to live with a dad who's so ugly on the inside," Redditor mircat1 wrote. "One should love their own child unconditionally and not run around publicly judging their appearance."

Will peer pressure and her mother's angelic good looks put the daughter on the path to plastic surgery? Only time will tell.

In any event, this is a very interesting case -- if true. There's been some chatter that the story may be an elaborate hoax. For instance, a news report circa 2004 from IOL News in South Africa quotes the very same man, suing and winning the exact same sum of money. No pictures are included in this much earlier report, however.
