Founder and Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has blasted his veteran fighter, former eight world division champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, for his "unprofessional" acts.

It was just last month when Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, was eagerly planning for Pacman's next fight as soon as the boxer recuperates from his shoulder injury sustained while training before his fight against undefeated boxer Floyd "The Money" Mayweather Jr.

The 83-year-old promoter was even willing to have another Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown, if the other camp would say yes.

"He's [Pacquiao] going to go right to an elite fighter. I would rather him fight Terence Crawford. The money that was made in the last fight [against Mayweather], and a rematch wouldn't do as well, but it would still do tremendous, bigger than any other fight. I think that if the Mayweather people want the rematch, we would be willing to do it," Arum told ESNews.

Recently, it was reported that Pacman is looking forward to his comeback in the ring after losing via a unanimous decision against Mayweather on May 2, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Citing Viva.co.id, an Indonesian website, Boxing Scene quoted Pacquiao as saying, "I'm ready to fight, next year."

However, Arum's tone and look on the matter changed significantly. The reason lies on how the Filipino icon is somehow neglecting his rehabilitation schedule for his torn rotator cuff.

"I'm not even thinking about a next fight for Manny unless he comes over [to the U.S] and does his rehab," Arum told Boxing Scene.

Lately, Arum expressed more of his disappointment in an interview with ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo.

"Well, Pacquiao was supposed to come in to see the doctor, and for some reason, he decided to cancel it and come later... You know, he's not acting very professionally, in my opinion... You got an operation like that, you got to do rehab, you got to get the doctor to look at it and guide you on the kind of rehab that you can do... As far as I'm concerned, he's not an active fighter," Arum told Castillejo while in Dubai.

What's keeping Pacquiao from attending his rehabilitation schedule?

The Philippine news network noted that Pacquiao was scheduled to report for a medical check-up in Los Angeles on July 4. However, he reportedly cancelled his appointment with his surgeon at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, to fulfill an earlier promise to a Filipina in deathrow by flying to Indonesia with wife, Jinkee.

Manny and Jinkee visited Mary Jane Veloso, a single mother of two at Wirogunan Prison who is said to be facing death penalty after she was apprehended six years ago for carrying "2.6kg of heroin in her suitcase."

"We're hoping to help save Mary Jane's life, I think Mary Jane is a victim of human-trafficking," Pacquiao said after visiting Veloso on July 10.
