Nike Release Dates 2015: KD 8 ‘Hunt’s Hill Sunrise’ & Kobe 10 ‘Lower Merion’ Price & Photos
Nike will release new colorways of two of their most popular signature shoes -- the KD 8 and Kobe 10 this weekend.
The KD 8, the eighth signature shoe of Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, will make its way on the sneaker market on Saturday in Total Orange/Volt/Bright Crimson/Black colorway.
The new colorway, which is named as the "Hunt's Hill Sunrise" edition, features an orange-based upper part with volt touches. It has black Nike Swoosh logo, laces, tongue, lining, midsole and outsole.
Like the previous editions of the KD shoes, there is a story related to the design of the sneaker. According to Nike, the colorway symbolizes Durant's hard work before he became a basketball superstar.
"Once the sun rose, young KD got up to put in a full day of work," Nike wrote on the official product page. "Whether he was running reps on Hunt's Hill's 75 foot incline or working on an hour of uninterrupted defensive drills, KD was a staple at the playground behind his house. And even after the sun began to set, his day was just getting started."
The KD 8 "Hunt's Hill Sunrise" edition will be available for $180 per pair on Nike.com and select retailers worldwide. More information and official photos of the shoe are available on this link. Related items are shown below.
Aside from the KD 8 "Hunt's Hill Sunrise" edition, Nike will also release the new colorway of the Kobe 10 GS on Saturday. It will arrive at retailers in Team Red/Wolf Grey-White colorway, dubbed as the "Lower Merion" edition, SoleCollector revealed.
As the name suggest, this edition of the Kobe 10 GS pays tribute to Lower Merion, where Bryant spent his high school days before making his jump to the big league without playing college basketball.
"The new Nike Kobe 10 GS pays tribute to Kobe Bryant's high school, Lower Merion, which utilizes the school's distinct colorway as its defining aesthetic," KicksOnFire noted. "While a direct connection to the high school in terms of branding is not evident, the low-top sneaker is dipped in an understated Red/Burgundy hue."
The Nike Kobe 10 GS "Lower Merion" edition will be available for $135 per pair. Nike has yet to officially unveil this colorway, but unofficial photos can be viewed on this link.
