Mega Millions Numbers & Results July 21, 2015: Live Stream of Drawing Time; $15M Jackpot
Finishing the work week feels good no matter what. But if you hope to sweeten your start into the weekend with, say, $15 million, then you might want to tune in at 11 p.m. Eastern Time; that's when the multi-state lottery's draw is set to take place at the studios of WSB-TV, Atlanta's ABC affiliate.
The jackpot is back down to double digits because one lucky player managed to take home the $152 million prize on July 21, MLive noted. The lottery's winning numbers from that drawing were 20, 30, 62, 65 and 74; the Mega Ball number was 1; and the Megaplier number was 5, according to the game's official website.
The golden ticket, meanwhile, was sold in Northumberland County in Eastern Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. Its holder can have the full jackpot amount paid out in annual installments over a 29-year period -- or opt for an immediate lump sum payout of about $92 million.
Pennsylvania only joined the multi-state lottery in 2010, and the $152 million win to date marks the largest Mega Millions prize ever paid out in the Keystone State.
Meanwhile, the July 21 drawing also produced two new millionaires in Texas and New York, respectively, where players matched 5 numbers -- but not the Gold Mega Ball. It was the 14th event since June 2, the last time a ticket holder had hit the jackpot, MLive said.
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday, and the draw entry closes at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets to the game are sold in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands -- a total of 45 jurisdictions. The odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 15, but your chances of hitting the jackpot are only about 1 in 259 million.
