Original equipment manufacturers often employ techies to do initial testing on their soon-to-be-released products. These testers have the luxurious privilege of literally getting their hands on products before the general public does.

Testers use the product, give their observations, pocket their fees, then leave without telling a soul. But where's the fun in using an unreleased product but can't brag about it?

So instead, they take pictures and leak it online. Have they done harm? Depends on which side you're on.

Netizens planning to purchase Samsung's new smart gadgets, and everyone else for that matter, got their first glimpse of the companies upcoming flagship products via leaked photos online.

The devices are the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5.

Owners of the Galaxy S6 Edge will instantly recognize the S6 Edge Plus.

Here's the leaked photo of the Plus courtesy of ClickOnline. The photo is suspiciously taken from an Apple iPhone.

While the images are in low quality, they seem to show that nothing much would be changing as far the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is concerned.

The Plus is basically a wider S6 Edge. Design wise, the position of the front sensors and camera is the same. It also features the same curved display and home button on the front, which is presumed to also utilize the fingerprint scanning system of S6 Edge.

Basing from the images, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will bear the model number SM-G928A. As to its OS, the Plus will be at least operating on the new Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. SlashGear has more on its rumored specifications.

Snapshots of the second leaked device can be accessed here. Supposedly, they are images of Samsung's Galaxy Note 5.

The front of the  Galaxy Note 5 features very thin side bezels. It has a slightly larger fingerprint scanner than the Galaxy Note 4. The front sensors of the device have been repositioned. Previous incarnations of the Note have their front sensors at the far upper right-hand corner of the device. In the Galaxy Note 5's case, the front sensors have moved toward the upper center of the smartphone. Lastly, the Note 5's design seems to mirror that of the S6 rather than the Note 4.

Sadly, the S Pen design cannot be conclusively distinguished in the leak. As leaks ought to be, the images were rather of low quality. Much is left to the imagination to speculate based on them.

Both devices are scheduled for release this August.
