Eva Mendes caused a stir when she arrived at LAX Airport over the weekend as she was trying to avoid going through the pre-flight security check routine.

Arriving at the Transportation Security Administration point, the 39-year-old actress reportedly told officers that she would not be able to pass through the body scanner "because she's pregnant."

Mendes was flying from Los Angeles to New York City and seemed to be in a rush as she arrived at the Los Angeles airport before allegedly making her claim.

The actress, who is rumored to be pregnant with her first child, quickly denied the reports of her potential pregnancy. "She has never gone through the scanners at the airport," a representative said. "She has always elected to be hand checked instead."

Eva Mendes is recently believed to have split from her long-term actor beau, Ryan Gosling, and hasn't made a public appearance with him in months.

The couple started dating back in September 2011 after meeting on the set of drama The Place Beyond the Pines. However, their relationship was claimed to fall apart in December 2013.

"There was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed," a source said. "They've decided to take a break to reevaluate their romance. At the end of the day, they are both so uncertain about their future."

"He can be moody and she's insecure," another source added. "She sees a text from a mystery number and assumes he's talking to girls."
