Zenimax's "Elder Scrolls Online" just got more exciting with the announcement of upcoming DLC packs that are set to arrive to the game in the latter half of this year and early next 2016.

The massive multiplayer online role-playing game launched in 2014 but the arrival of new expansion packs along with exciting gameplay modes and features have not stopped.

The game developers recently announced the plans for the release of the DLC in the QuakeCon event held in Dallas, Texas, last weekend, and everything looked exciting.

First up is the "Imperial City" DLC pack that is set to arrive to desktop computers on August 31, Xbox One on September 15, and PlayStation 4 on September 16, the game's official website stated.

This expansion pack will bring six new districts and quests to the players. New characters will also be introduced as well as additional dungeons.

"Imperial City" pack is free to those who are currently subscribed to the ESO Plus membership service.

Game creative director Rich Lambert said that the developers wanted to ensure more PvP features in the first DLC.

"First and foremost, we wanted to make sure that we expanded on the PvP offering in Elder Scrolls Online," Lambert said at the QuakeCon. "For Imperial City, we wanted to make sure the focus was on close-quarters combat with a smaller scale."

On the other hand, the second DLC called, "Orsinium," is said to arrive to the game in the fall although no exact date has been given yet.

The second expansion pack will bring in additional 25 hours of content for players to enjoy. According to Gotta Be Mobile, the "Orsinium" DLC will feature a new zone that is known as the "Realm of the Orcs."

It will also introduce new enemies to the players although no specific information and details about it have been revealed by the developers.

More than the two expansion packs set to come out in 2015, two additional DLCs are expected to arrive next year, and they are "The Dark Brotherhood" and "Thieves Guild," which are said to contain the biggest and "most entertaining" content for the online game.

It is expected that Bethesda or Zenimax will provide more information about the planned DLCs for 2016 in the coming months.
