'Bates Motel' Season 4 Spoilers: Norman Loses it, Norma Dies
Norman (Freddie Highmore) will completely lose his mind when "Bates Motel" returns to A&E next spring.
Norma (Vera Farmiga) might even be her son's next victim, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Showrunner Kerry Ehrin hinted Norma's death will help develop the story of next season. Ehrin said it will happen somewhere in the middle of the last 20 remaining episodes.
"I feel like that could happen, honestly, at any point. It could happen in any episode from now until the end of the series!" she teased.
Will Norman kill her? Or will she be murdered by many of the bad guys she sends Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) after? Norma is hated by a lot of people in town, so there is no telling who will come after her.
Also, will her death be the reason that Norman turns into a full blown psycho path?
Farmiga revealed to TheWrap Norma would continue to have her mental break downs before her death.
"The biggest hoot is and always will be presenting Norma's freak-outs. At least once a season, excrement hits the oscillating air device for Norma and she goes postal," the actress said.
Meanwhile, speculation is that Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke) would continue their romantic relationship.
During the Season 3 finale, Dylan risked his life to raise the money for Emma's lung transplant, little does she know. They finally kissed at the end, and he convinced her to get the transplant despite her fear that the organ can fail at any moment.
Will Emma's lung ever fail during the last seasons? Where will she and Dylan take their relationship next?
At the same time, Romero and Norma will develop their relationship too. He tried kissing her during her mental break down about Norman's mental state in Season 3, but she refused. Will she finally give in and start a relationship with the Sheriff?
He has been running around saving her behind and helping to keep both her sons out of trouble. It's clear that he has some kind of feelings for her.
"Bates Motel" returns to A&E in the spring.
