Psych, USA's longest-running original series, will see its series finale at the end of its current eighth season.

The last episode of Psych will be on Mar. 26. After the series finale, USA will air a Q&A special featuring the show's cast and crew.

"Psych has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape with a unique brand of comedy," Chris McCumber, president of USA Network, said. "The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved and will be an exclamation point on the series' incredible run..."

The show premiered on July 2006, and according to Variety, was ranked a top-five Wednesday night cable series amongst key demographics last year.

But is this truly the end of our favorite Psych detectives, Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill)?

"...and while the series will wrap in March, somehow I don't believe we've heard the last of Shawn and Gus," McCumber teased.

According to The Wrap, McCumber suggests that USA Network has discussed the possibility of aPsych spinoff. The website says the talks are still "very preliminary," however.

Despite the show's impending finale, Roday and Hill do not seem to be in a rush to put the show behind them.

"Love you guys. And still plenty of delicious flavor left to suck on. We'll do it together and #suckiiiiitforever," Roday said via Twitter yesterday.

"Psych is ending?! Awww Yeaa...wait, WHAT!?! That's it @Psych_USA & @JamesRoday tonight get ready to be #COGBLOCKED!!!" Hill tweeted.

The actors even made a video to officially announce the show's conclusion to its fans.

"We said we wanted to go out on top," Roday says to a sobbing Hill. "...We'll always have syndication."
