"New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel has a lot to celebrate as she is now a mom to a baby girl and a wife to producer Jacob Pechenik.

It is still unknown exactly when the couple secretly wed, but they welcomed their daughter on Monday, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The 35-year-old's representative delivered the exciting news to the site.

"I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl," the actress' rep told the outlet.

The actress has successfully kept details about her pregnancy and marriage away from public scrutiny. It's a known fact that Deschanel does not like sharing too much information about her private life.

In 2013, the actress told Glamour magazine about this choice.

"I try to stay pretty stealthily out of the public eye. I don't really like too much attention in my personal life," Deschanel said, as quoted by CoverMG.com.

Pregnancy woes

Like most expecting moms, the "500 Days of Summer" actress revealed on the Jimmy Kimmel show in March that she has sacrificed a lot to ensure a safe pregnancy.

"You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good. I would have, like, four cups [of coffee] a day and now I can have a half cup which is a joke. It's a total joke!" Deschanel told Kimmel, as quoted by ABC News.

Now that her daughter is born, Deschanel will definitely be a cool mom as she likes to sing, Pop Sugar noted. The actress could also give her mini-version some fashion tips to make her a standout.

The actress and the producer reportedly began dating in August last year, which makes their anniversary more meaningful, since it is filled with special moments in their life. Pechenik is Deschanel's second husband as she was first married to band singer Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, from 2009-2012.
