Bobbi Kristina Brown Death News: Casket Photo of Whitney Houston's Daughter Sold to Media Outlet
A photo of Bobbi Kristina Brown in her casket has reportedly been sold to a media outlet for more than six figures.
TMZ reports the picture was taken during a viewing of the body that took place a day before formal services were held for Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's 22-year-old daughter. The website adds the winner-take-all bidding for the photo soared above the $100,000 mark.
Reports are members of the Brown and Houston families are both blaming one another for the leaked photo, which was snapped despite added precautions being taken. Prior to the service, the Browns had expressed fears that Houston family members "might pull" such a stunt, based on a similar act that took place during services for Whitney Houston three years earlier.
Leolah Brown, Bobbi Kristina's aunt on her father's side, was removed from Saturday's funeral services in Atlanta after she lashed out at Pat Houston, another aunt, who shared legal rights over part of Bobbi Kristina's health care.
Bobbi Kristina was laid to rest alongside her Grammy Award-winning mother on Monday at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. Also, just like her mom, her casket arrived at the Whigham Funeral Home after being transported in a gold hearse.
Bobbi Kristina's live-in boyfriend Nick Gordon did not attend any of the services and never got to see her again after she was found face down in the bathtub of the Roswell home the two shared in late January and rushed to a hospital emergency room.
The 25-year-old Gordon has since been hit with a $40 million lawsuit filed by the conservator of her estimated $20 million estate, charging that he physically abused her and stole money from her bank account during the time they were together.
Authorities have also launched a criminal probe into the circumstances surrounding Bobbi Kristina's injuries, and several media outlets have reported Gordon is viewed as the primary suspect.
