Snooki Gets New Lip Implants, Fans Respond
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi went under the knife to get lip implants and is receiving a lot of backlash for it.
"First session of lip plumps and it's just fabulous. I've always hated my thin lips and never thought I had the balls to get needles in my lip to perfect them but I did!" Snooki captioned a selfie on Instagram.
She is not the first reality TV star to admit to getting lip injections. "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kylie Jenner revealed she received temporary lip fillers because she has always been insecure about her lips, ABC News reported.
The teenager recently talked about going under the knife after months of speculation from critics.
Snooki, on the other hand, unapologetically came out about it right after getting it done. In the Instagram post, it looks like her lips were still swollen from surgery.
Celebrity plastic and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kassir Ramtin performed the procedure on Snooki, Page Six reports.
The 27-year-old admitted to being "terrified" to get lip injections, but in the end it "wasn't terrible at all!"
"And I hate needles! I love my 'natural beauty,' but being able to enhance my lips to make me feel better about myself is life," she said.
User @fashion_chicks1 is one of the many people who are not fans of Snooki's new lips.
"Okay...I don't want to say they are ugly because you might read my comment and get insecure but [to be honest] they do look uneven but maybe with time they'll get better," the user commented. "What's important is do not regret what you have done because of [bad comments]."
While others commended the "Jersey Shore" alum for her new look.
"I get mine done and tell anyone that asks. It's temporary and really not a big deal. I've been doing it since before Kylie Jenner had boobs [laughing out loud]. You go Snooki, do what makes you feel good and f**k the haters," @maria_bella_donna wrote.
Snooki decided to retire from reality TV in order to take care of her children out of the spotlight.
