'Fifty Shades of Grey' News and Update: Author Opens Up; Fourth Book In The Works?
With the highly anticipated movie arriving in theaters in February of next year, the trilogy's author has unexpectedly teased fans of the erotic trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey. And, in related news, one of the movie's lead actors has opened up a bit more about her feelings going into the movie.
E.L. James, the 50-year-old British author of the best-selling trilogy, teased fans on social media about writing a fourth installment to the world famous collection. Fifty Shades of Grey, which follows the story of a BDSM-practicing billionaire and his amateur lover, has been a runaway hit since the first book was released in 2011 followed soon after by the second installment. The last book was published in 2012.
James's hints on Twitter excited fans. It also could be that this fourth book will be written from Grey's perspective rather than that of his inexperienced lover Anastasia Steele. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, James expressed her thought about the idea, saying she has to "really think about Christian's point of view. So it's about what to do next." Everyone will have to wait to see if indeed another book is published and whether that will spin off into yet another movie.
On the topic of the upcoming movie, actor Dakota Johnson, who will play Anastasia Steele, talked more about being part of the movie during a photo shoot with Elle magazine. The 24-year-old actor will be on the cover of the March issue.
She said that she was not as interested by the racy sex scenes but rather the characters' relationship. "Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," she says. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."
