GTA 5 PS4 & Xbox One Release Date & Gameplay: Developer Promises to Release Game on Next Gen Consoles
After the title's undeniable success with its September 2013 launch in past generation consoles PS3 and Xbox 360, Take-Two is reportedly considering a title release for next gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
That is, if gamers who own the next gen game consoles wish to play the title. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick told MCV, "If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we'll release our game on that]."
"But we wouldn't drive them there, we would just be there if they are there. That is why we have a companion app for our basketball title, NBA 2K Everywhere. It is wherever consumers want to be. We are not in the hardware business, we don't have any dog in that hut, we just want to be where the consumer is," Zelnick continued.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was released September of last year and is now still available for order for PS3 and Xbox 360 users. According to game creator, Rockstar, on the Rockstar Warehouse website, the game sells for $59.99 for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
Past gen console gamers can also purchase the title via Gamestop, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target, says the title's website. Xbox 360 gamers can also get the title from Microsoft.
According to GTA 5's title's website, gamers can also get their hands on BradyGames Guide in Signature Series for $24.99 or Limited Edition for $36.99.
"The Grand Theft Auto V Signature Strategy Guide features a complete walkthrough for Grand Theft Auto V with mission maps that identify key objectives along with thorough coverage of all off-mission activities and maps that detail every square of mile of Los Santos & Blaine County," while the more expensive Limited Edition "includes all the content featured in the Signature Series edition, plus an exclusive bonus lithograph and a collection of GTAV illustrations," says the title's website.
