'Madden NFL 16' Release, Review, Gameplay & Updates: Which Are the Best Teams in AFC South?
We are two weeks away from the release of Madden NFL 16. EA Sports released the ratings for the AFC South and a familiar team is at the top. With that in mind, here are the best teams rating-wise in the AFC South:
Indianapolis Colts Overall Team Rating: 87
The Colts were one win away from making it to the Super Bowl last season, but lost to the New England Patriots in the game forever known as the "Deflategate game." The Colts are ready to move on and repeat as division champs. Quarterback Andrew Luck is primed to have a MVP caliber year. With the addition of running back Frank Gore and wide receiver Andre Johnson, can the Colts finally make it to the promise land?
Houston Texans Overall Team Rating: 79
The Houston Texans defense is being lead by reigning defensive player of the year J.J. Watt. With the signing of nose tackle Vince Wilfork and the return of 2014 first overall pick Jadevon Clowney, this defense could arguably be the best defensive core in the league. However, the offense is suspect. Coming in to quarterback is former Patriot Ryan Mallet. He has not played much during his time with the Patriots but has an opportunity to start for the Texans. With weapons such as running back Arian Foster and upcoming star DeAndre Hopkins, will Mallet flourish?
Jacksonville Jaguars Overall Team Rating: 73
The Jaguars are in rebuilding mode but do have potential talent on the team. It is year two of the Blake Bortles era and the front office brought in some help for him. Former Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will be Bortles go-to receiver. The defense is a work in progress being led by rookie defensive end Dante Fowler. Although this season might be a disappointing one, the future is bright for Jacksonville.
Tennessee Titans Overall Team Rating: 72
The Titans have found their quarterback of the future with Marcus Mariota. New arrivals, such as former Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster, will help out Mariota. There is hope for the Titans in the future.
Madden NFL 16 will be in stores on Aug. 25 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
