Cavallari Opens Up About Marriage, Motherhood & Career
Kristin Cavallari has been one busy lady taking care of her 8-month-old son, and it doesn't appear that she's willing to take on any more work at the moment.
In a recent interview with "Coco Eco" magazine, Cavallari opened up about her life after having son Camden with her fiance and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Like all parents, she's had to make a few sacrifices along the way.
"I've passed on a couple of things that would have kept me here in L.A. because Jay has to be in Chicago, so if I was here, we would never see each other," Cavallari explained to Coco Eco. "The sacrifices we make for love..."
She goes on to talk with the magazine about her priorities, making it clear that while she loves all of the projects she's involved in, the only project that ultimately matters is the family that her and Jay are forming.
"It's easy to get wrapped up in your career and have that be your only focus, and I want my marriage to work and last, and family comes first," said Cavallari. "The design work is great because I can do most of it from Chicago and I have so much fun with it. I love it and it all works out."
So just what is happening with that whole marriage thing?
"The old marriage question!" she says. "All I'll say is we're planning a big summer wedding, but I'm keeping it a secret."
The couple do seem very happy with one another and for the most part have so far avoided the scandalous rumors that often plague other high-profile couples. Cavallari even talks about how her husband Jay encourages her to gain weight.
"I'm lucky to have my fiancé Jay, who'd rather have a couple of pounds on me," she said. "He tells me when I'm too skinny and that helps."
