A French newsman is making claims that are equal parts outrageous and scandalous, and have a hint of "it just might be true" -- our President, Barack Obama, is having an affair with none other than Mrs. Carter, Beyoncé! 

According to DListed (who's demanding Olivia Pope's opinion on this!), a French newsman named Pascal Rostain believes there's a very good reason for Beyonce to be full of smiles whenever they're together: it's because they're doing the dirty! Not only that -- Rostain goes on to report in Le Figaro that the Washington Post will be spilling all the gory details about the alleged affair between the President and the Pop Star, including details about the Obama's upcoming divorce (reportedly, Michelle Obama found out about Beyoncé and filed for divorce from Barack).

Of course, the Washington Post categorically denies that they will be releasing this supposed report.

Neither the Obamas nor the Carters have released any sort of statement either confirming or denying the allegations contained in Rostain's report.

However, Time Magazine is suggesting a more political reason for Rostain's report catching fire in France (where it has appeared in Le Figaro, Gala Magazine, and Europe 1): to take the heat off of their own President. This is the week that French President François Hollande will be visiting the White House with his girlfriend; Hollande is currently embroiled in a scandal of epic proportions because his girlfriend found out about his affair with actress Julie Gayet. 

Still, it's hilarious to read Rostain's "evidence" of Obama's affair with Beyoncé: "There are [photographs and] television images of the Obamas [in which they are] a little distant. Just because it's a rumor doesn't mean that one should not go into the field to check. We should not forget Marilyn [Monroe] or Monica Lewinsky. You can be the president of the first world power -- that doesn't make you any less a man," he wrote.
