"Dancing with the Stars" is making sure Season 21 of the hit television show starts out strong with a new set of cast slipping on their dancing shoes. Among the names being discussed as part of the competition's latest lineup is Scott Disick of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

An insider told Hollywood Life that the reality star might make the shift to the dance floor, following in the footsteps of fellow "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" regulars Kim Kardashian and Rob Kardashian who competed in seasons seven and 13, respectively. Disick's news came after season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro told E! News that Caitlyn Jenner will not be a part of the upcoming installment of the show.

"He [Disick] really wants to do it because it would allow him to make money, be close to the kids and show the world he isn't such a wildcard that he has made himself out to be," the source explained to Hollywood Life. "He wants to show that he actually wants to change his ways and show Kourtney the man she fell in love with. Since 'Dancing' will not be getting Caitlyn (Jenner) they have reached out to others in the Kardashian clan and Scott is high on their radar and has been asked."

DWTS executive producer Rob Wade and co-executive producer Deena Katz also sat down with Glamour to reveal new details about the upcoming season.

The pair admitted they are almost done casting the celebrities as Wade said, "We're about 4/5 of the way there. We like to be around [this number] since we're a very current show. The premiere of the show is still over a month and a half away, which is a long time. So you want to see [who's current in the news]."

No one is confirmed to appear on DWTS yet, but names that have come up include Chace Crawford, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Ricky Schroeder and Shay Mitchell, who told the Examiner earlier this year that she would consider joining the competition if the opportunity comes up.

While the producers remained very coy about the specific personalities appearing on the show, they were willing to spill about the format that fans will be enjoying for the next season. Wade revealed that the switch-up week will return and said, "There's going to be some surprises! We don't do surprises to mess with people. America's Choice might be coming back in some way. All these things just give the couples a different challenge, and I think it's important to do that."

"Dancing with the Stars" will debut the official cast of the next season on September 14 on ABC.
