NHL 16 looks to make some major improvements on the rather disappointing NHL 15 game. With NHL 16 bringing back some features that were missing in NHL 15, the game looks like a big improvement, Cinema Blend reports.

In NHL 15, the popular 6-vs-6 online team play mode was removed from the game. The mode, called "EA Sports Hockey League" (EASHL) is back in NHL 16.

In NHL 16, players will be able to improve their on-ice performance with the assistance of shooting targets, passing lanes and other visual cues.

Be a GM, Be a Pro and Hockey Ultimate Team will be returning to NHL 16, according to Videogamer. In the Be a Pro mode, players decide on the position they will play, what minor league they will enter, and what style of player they will be. Players can even choose to go right to the NHL and try to make a team that way.

In the Hockey Ultimate Team mode, players will take the position of a GM and control all aspects of running an NHL team. Players will have to manage the team's players, finances and much more in order to be successful in this mode.

For players that prefer to play offline, EA Sports is catering to single players by offering several different modes.

With just over a month before the game goes on sale on Sept. 15, EA Sports had to make a major change to the cover of NHL 16. Cover athlete and Stanley Cup champion, Patrick Kane has been removed from the cover after rape allegations were made against him earlier in August.

The new cover athlete will be Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, who is Kane's teammate at Chicago. 

Even though the case against Kane has not even started and no official charges have been made against him, EA Sports decided to move forward with NHL 16 without Kane.
