In "Suits" Season 5 Episode 9 "Uninvited Guests," we finally learn why Mike Ross's (Patrick J. Adams) ex, Claire (Troian Bellisario), has not revealed his secret.

Mike has been stressed by Claire's return. His wedding to Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) near, he has been walking on eggshells knowing that Claire could drop her bombshell any moment.

In a video clip posted to the "Suits" Facebook page on Wednesday, Claire reveals why she has not exposed Mike's skeleton in the closet.

The clip begins with the two exiting their office building after a work day. Mike thanks her for not divulging his secret. He also asks why she's letting it go.

"Because Rachel begged me to, and because she said that she loves you and you turned your life around," Claire says.

"And do you believe her?" he asks, cautiously.

"I believe that she loves you," Claire says. "But if you really want to know the truth, no, I don't believe that you turned your life around, and I definitely don't believe that you love her."

Mike looks stunned. He asks, "What? How can you say that?"

"Because you have convinced her that it's all going to be okay," she says, adding, "You two needed to live happily after and I didn't want to be the one to make that all come crashing down. But, you know what, Mike? One day, it is going to come crashing down, and if you really do love her, you'll put a stop to this right now."

"You think I should stop being a lawyer?" Mike asks.

"I'm saying if you really love her, you won't marry her," Claire says, and walks away.

If Mike calls off the wedding, Rachel will be devastated. If he reveals the truth to the firm, it will inevitably cost him his career and possibly his relationship with Rachel.

Meanwhile, there's more intrigue brewing at Pearson Specter Litt. Carter Matt reports that Rachel and her mother, Laura Zane (Megan Gallagher), continue with wedding preparations. Meanwhile, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) tries to uncover Jack Soloff's (John Pyper-Ferguson) weakness while Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike team up with Daniel Hardman's (David Costabile) "mysterious backer."

Jack and Daniel will start to set their plan in motion against Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) and her team.
