Apple's fall unveiling event is just a few weeks away and among the highly anticipated devices expected to come out alongside the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 is the newly redesigned Apple TV. Here is a round-up of rumors about the upgraded box set from the tech giant that is due this fall.

According to 9to5Mac, the upcoming Apple TV will feature a new hardware that will be slimmer and sleeker than its predecessor. It will still be Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled and will likely come in a plastic case to make it work better with other third party devices.

Because no TV is complete with a remote control in this age of mobility, the new box set is said to come with a dedicated remote control, which can be operated via Bluetooth and infrared sensor technology.

In a June report of 9to5Mac, the site discovered hidden files in the El Capitan beta references codes that point to a Bluetooth remote control with a possible Force Touch feature.

However, given that the codes are a bit vague, it is still unclear if the same feature that was introduced to the MacBook and iPhones will soon make its way to the Apple TV.

Siri has been an integral part of Apple devices, and it seems that it will also find its way to the new box set. The previous version of Apple TV can be controlled via the tiny controller or the remote iOS app.

With the integration of Siri, it will be easier for users who find it challenging to type in the controller to give commands and operate the TV.

Meanwhile, the new Apple TV is said to run on an optimized version of the iOS 9. Tagged with the codename J34, the tech firm reportedly hopes that the interface will be able to address icon scrolling in the system.

The entertainment set will also have its own App Store to encourage developers to create apps that are dedicated for the device, per Business Insider. This, along with a full Software Development Kit, is aimed at companies making more apps and channels for the box set.

Because of the features that are to come to the new Apple TV, the company is said to have added a powerful chip processor similar to the A8 chip installed in the iPhone 6 for faster and better utilization.

Rumors also point that Apple TV will sport a bigger RAM of up to 2GB from the previous 1GB.

Apple TV is rumored to launch alongside the iPhone 6s this fall after its unveiling at the WWDC 2015 event has been postponed.
