Madonna Music Update: Diva Hates Her Own Music; 'I'm Sick of It'
The Queen of Pop has just revealed that she cannot stand her own music when she's exercising.
With 30 years in the music industry under her belt, the music icon told ET Canada, "I hate my music!" When she was asked about her exercise regimen and what Madonna music she loves working out to, Madonna may have shocked some of her fans with her response.
"I'm sick of it - like turn it off!" declared the Material Girl. Of course Queen Madge was exaggerating as she really does love her work and has a lot of pride in it. ''I love my music, but I'm just kind of sick of it. I like to hear other people's music when I work out.''
Don't worry loyal Madonna fans, the iconic singer does follow up the statement with, "Remixes are good! Remixes of my music are good because they reinvent them."
The statement is understandable; after 30 years of performing and rehearsals give the lady a break and let her listen to something else for a change.
The 55-year-old has been a well-known fitness buff and who can deny it's been paying off. Contact Music writes, that during the opening of her Hard Candy Fitness Gym in Toronto, Madonna declares, ''I have a love/hate relationship with my body. ''Some days I'm happy with it and other days... I wasn't born with Gisele Bundchen's body unfortunately, so you got to work for it - but it's OK.''
Madonna is presently dating 26-year-old dancer Timor Steffens. She shares that she likes guys who take fitness seriously and are in shape but isn't really keen on the ''big bulky'' guys.
Madonna's most recent remix work was during MTV's "Unplugged with Miley Cyrus" last January that featured a tacky-Cowboy bedazzled mash-up of Madonna's "Don't Tell Me" and Cyrus' "We Can't Stop."
