Mariah Carey Nick Cannon Divorce Update: Couple Reenacts Hilarious “Mean Girls” Scene [Watch Here]
Are Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon getting divorce? Doesn't seem like it as they were just together on MTV, acting like a couple in love...or not.
Mariah appeared on "MTV: First" with Nick Cannon to debut her latest music video, "You're Mine (Eternal)". During the interview with host Sway Calloway, the "Mean Girls" tenth anniversary was brought up and the couple was asked to reenact a scene from the film. (watch the clip below)
The scene chosen for the two was the one where Lindsay Lohan's character, Cady Heron, first meets the Plastics and their leader, Rachel McAdams' Regina George in the school's cafeteria. Before they got started, Cannon asked his wife, "You're Regina?" Carey answered in true Plastics fashion and said, "Of course, duh!"
At first, Carey was a bit worried that his husband would "throw his own spin on it" and ruin the reenactment. Complete with "whatevers" and eye-rolls, she protested that it would feel weird doing the scene with a guy.
But Cannon managed to get in character and the two started the reenactment. Carey recited the lines perfectly and naturally like she had memorized them while her hesitant husband relied on the script provided by Sway.
Carey, as Regina, started the scene with the line, "Why don't I know you?" to which her husband, playing Cady, replied, "I used to be home-schooled, my mom taught me at home."
The funniest part of the scene was when Carey said, "But you're like, really pretty." A weirded out Cannon simply said, "Thank you."
The scene ended with Carey, in a very Queen Bee manner, saying, "So you agree? You think you're really pretty?"
Just last week, Amber Rose appeared on MTV's Retromania: Hip Hop to reenact the four-way telephone scene from the film with the help of her friends. In their reenactment, Rose played Gretchen, Iggy Azalea acted as Karen, Ed Sheeran got the role of Cady, and the all tattooed-up and dreadlocked Waka Flocka Flame took on the role of Regina.
