Sacramento Kings Guard Rajon Rondo Offers Lincoln Estate for $2M
Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo's Massachusetts property is still on the market.
The four-time NBA All-Star is selling his Lincoln estate for $2 million, almost $500,000 less than its listing price five months ago, Realtor.com reported. The Louisville native commissioned real estate agent Rosemary McCready of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage - Weston to handle the sale of the property.
According to its listing, the Middlesex county residence is "a glamorous home fit for a Champion."
The 6,513-square-foot abode includes five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half baths, a media room, a library, a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen that comes with a breakfast bar and an island. Outdoors, there is a lush expansive courtyard, as the property is resting on 1.5 acres of Massachusetts land. Aside from that, the estate is also in the midst of four acres of "shared and conserved land," added Realtor.com.
Photos and descriptions from the listing show an elegant home with creative wall accents, ornate chandeliers, an airy ambiance, soaring ceilings, limestone floors, and naturally-lit rooms.
Time to shine again with the Kings?
The former Boston Celtics player signed a one-year contract worth $9.5 million in July with the Kings, ESPN noted. With his new team, the 29-year-old player is expected to shine again.
He and Mavs coach Rick Carlisle didn't always see eye to eye and Rondo failed to give a stellar performance last season. In April, the Mavs announced that Rondo is leaving the team due to a supposed back injury, USA Today informed. While with the Mavs, he only averaged 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.1 blocks, 1.2 steals and 9.3 points.
But Rondo, who was a member of the 2008 NBA champion team, is not one to dwell on the past as he is ready to face the new chapter of his life.
"A lot of people didn't expect me to come this far in the NBA. I have no doubts about what my talents can do... Life is about handling adversity and I've dealt with a little bit of adversity this past season," Rondo said.
