'Just Cause 3' Trailer: Sky Tour & Destruction Frenzy Challenge Modes Revealed [Video]
After Avalanche Studios gave fans a first taste of the video game at the recent Gamescom 2015, many are eager to see what else are in store for the highly awaited game. The video game developer has recently released a video that highlights the new Challenge modes players can take part in the game when it comes in December.
"Just Cause" is an action-adventure title based in an open-world environment. The first challenge detailed in the clip shown by IGN, is called the "Sirocco Sky Tour."
The sky tour will see the player's character don a wing suit and race across the sky through a series of multi-colored rings to rack off points. The player will have to pass through the rings scattered on screen to collect points.
The score will depend on how accurate the player goes through the ring. If the player gets closer to the center, the higher the points. Extra points will be given for every "dangerous lower rings" the player successfully goes through, noted Game Rant.
Players who get a high score will be listed on the leaderboard and can add upgrades to the wing suit for better maneuvering and movement while soaring the skies.
Aside from the Sky Tour, "Just Cause 3" will also have a new mode called, "Destruction Frenzy."
This challenge will only be available to players once they are able to unlock or liberate a base from the game's main campaign. Based from the game's title, the main objective of this mode is to destroy as many buildings as the player can within the allotted time.
In the video, the player returned to the liberated base, called Vigilator Sud, and armed with an unlimited supply of rocket propelled grenades or RPG to be used for bombing the place.
The time will only start when the first RPG thrown demolishes a building, or anything within the base, completely.
Players rack up points depending on the number of buildings and things destroyed as well as the speed and succession in which they were toppled down.
Scores attained in the challenge mode will be seen in a leaderboard where other players can see it.
However, the downside of the challenge mode is that it will not be playable with friends an online as Avalanche Studios have already confirmed that the game will not have a multiplayer mode at launch.
The video game developer did say that the multiplayer mode might come later but no exact date and timeline has been given for this yet.
"Just Cause 3" will be available to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC starting December 1.
