Mercedez-Benz has released a preview of the new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and C63 S Coupe on their website. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said in a press release on their website, "The new AMG C63 Coupe embodies our conception of progress: It offers impressive longitudinal and lateral dynamics at an extremely high level along with improved fuel economy."

"In addition, we are making a bold visual statement with the muscular design. Our customers can therefore experience the progress with each of their senses: seeing, hearing, feeling and, above all, driving!"

The models feature the following specs:

Displacement: 3982 cc / 3982 cc
Output: 469 hp at 5500-6250 rpm / 503 hp at 5500-6250 rpm
Peak torque: 479 lb-ft at 1750-4500 rpm / 516 lb-ft at 1750-4500 rpm
Curb weight (European specification): 3,770 lbs / 3,803 lbs
Top speed: 155 mph / 180 mph

The expressive exterior design of the AMG C63 is considerably different from its predecessor, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. The previous model is a favorite of Car and Driver. Different as they may be, the two models share the same doors, roof and trunk lid.

The car has a powerful four-liter, eight-cylinder engine, a redesigned front end as well as new and wide front and rear fenders. The tire and wheel size has been improved for both the C63 and C63 S, making it larger and wider.

As for the interior, there are only a few changes from the C-Class model. The seats feature high-grade materials with an increased lateral support. The audio system has also been improved, but the column-mounted is still the same.

The C63 will have various AMG Dynamic Select transmission modes: individual mode (that offers customization), comfortable and economical mode as well as super sporty mode. "Race" mode is added for the C63 S.

According to Fortune, the highest performance division of Mercedes is the AMG. It is made for the development and test racing of engines for Mercedes vehicles. The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe will be premiered on Sept. 15 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

The Mercedes-AMG 2017 C63 and C63 S are reportedly set for release in the U.S. in the summer of 2016, according to Fortune.

As per the price, Car and Driver says, "When it comes to market here next August, the Mercedes-AMG C63 coupes will cost slightly more than their sedan analogues as low $70,000s for the non-S and low $80,000s for the S."
