'Finding Carter' Season 2 Cast News: New Potential Love Interest Cast, Who Will It Be?
Jackson Rathbone, one of the stars of "The Twilight Saga," has been casted in a recurring role for MTV series "Finding Carter."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 30-year-old actor will play a character named Jared, who is described as being charming and very business oriented. The character becomes very crucial to the series when he becomes attracted to Carter, played by Kathryn Prescott, who is a minor.
"Finding Carter" follows the story of a teenager named Carter Stevens whose life is turned upside down when she finds out that the woman who raised her isn't actually her mother and instead abducted her from her real family. Carter is then forced to adapt to her new life with her real family while managing the pitfalls of high school.
When the series went on their mid-season break, the show left off with the possibility of Carter dropping out of school and with the revelation that her father had an affair.
In an interview with TVLine, Emily Whitesell, the show's executive producer, discussed the shocking mid-season twist and explained how these events would affect the Wilson family in the upcoming episodes.
"Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) knows what to be supportive about and what not to be; we're not going to rehash the 'Oh, you slept with her' thing," said Whitesell. "But she'll have feelings about what he should do, and we'll see she's resentful of certain things."
According to Vine Report, the show recently made a casting call for several extras to be used for the remainder of Season 2. The Atlanta casting call listing included the need for teenagers, high school students, middle school students, runners, teachers and cops.
Wanted roles also include a recurring bartender, who was described as "fit, attractive and fun." With many outlets confirming that Carter will be running away from home, fans are wondering if the inclusion of a bartender means she will end up working at a bar to earn a living.
Season 2 of "Finding Carter" will resume Oct. 6 on MTV.
