Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza will trade his racing boots for a pair of dancing shoes in the next few months. The jockey is set to appear on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars".

According to ABC, Espinoza dropped by ESPN2's "SportsNation" on Tuesday to reveal his participation in the hit reality television show. He is the second personality to be announced by ABC on their network's shows, joining Bindi Irwin for season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars."

One of the most celebrated jockeys in the industry, Espinoza recently accomplished the coveted Triple Crown feat this year when he won the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness and The Belmont Stakes with his colt American Pharoah. With the victory, he became the very first Hispanic jockey to earn the crown and the first time the award has been achieved in 37 years.

Although the athlete has an exceptional record on the race tracks, the "Dancing with the Stars" contestant will be facing a new set of challenges on the dance floor. When asked on "SportsNation" if he considers himself a good dancer, the 5'2" jockey answered with a sheepish, "No."

"I have no idea," Espinoza told the hosts when asked if he prefers waltz or cha-cha. "I'll find out."

It won't be a breeze for the celebrated jockey, but he's sure to be up for the challenge, especially when paired with a capable professional.

The professional dancers of the reality show are more than ready to hit the dance floor in pursuit of the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. DWTS veterans showed they're in shape and itching to show off their moves in a series of videos of the fan favorites doing the Nae Nae dance. Derek Hough, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, Allison Holker, Emma Slater, Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess showcase their talents in front of the camera, giving the fans a glimpse of what's in store next season.

In an interview with HNGN, pro dancer and season 20 finalist Allison Holker expressed her anticipation for the new season saying, "I'm really excited because now that I've been in the finale I know what to expect. I'm just really excited about having a new partner because no partner is ever the same."

The complete set of DWTS celebrities and their pro partners will be announced on the September 2 episode of Good Morning America, according to ABC.

"Dancing with the Stars" Season 21 is slated to hit the small screen on September 14 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
