Ben Ferguson to Latinos Watching Univision: You Probably Don't Understand Donald Trump's English
Following the incident between GOP hopeful Donald Trump and Univision reporter Jorge Ramos, conservative commentator Ben Ferguson told CNN's Don Lemon that Latinos who watch Univision probably didn't understand Trump anyway.
Ramos was kicked out of a Trump news conference on Tuesday after asking questions regarding Trump's goal to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants from the United States should he become president.
The reporter repeatedly charged Trump with questions until the GOP hopeful said, "You weren't called on. ... Go back to Univision."
Ferguson blamed Ramos for the incident, adding that Trump won't lose any voters for talking to Ramos that way.
"If you like Univision and Jorge Ramos and illegal immigrants in this country, you're not looking at any Republican candidate, so I'm not worried," Ferguson said.
"And to be real honest, if you're watching Jorge Ramos, the chances you even understand the words coming out of Donald Trump's mouth tonight -- I highly doubt you're going to know what he was saying anyway."
Bilingual Latinos in America were offended by Ferguson's comments.
"According to Ben Ferguson if you watch Univision you probably don't understand English because apparently Hispanics are not bilingual," Ana tweeted.
Ramos was eventually allowed back in the press conference held in Iowa to ask Trump two questions, but the business mogul was not happy about his behavior, NBC News reports.
"He was totally out of line last night," Trump told TODAY's Matt Lauer. "I was asking and being asked a question from another reporter. I would have gotten to (Ramos) very quickly. He stood up and started ranting and raving like a madman."
During his altercation with the Mexican-American journalist, Trump stood by his comments he said about Mexico sending over its "rapists" and "killers."
Yet, Trump says he is loved by Latinos and his high ranks in the polls can prove it.
