PS4 vs Xbox One: Insider Says 'Watch Dogs' Gameplay Better on Playstation 4
The soon to be released Ubisoft game reportedly runs better in terms of resolution on Sony's next gen game console, says Gamepur.
Specifically, Watch Dogs, which has been confirmed to run at 30 frames per second on both the PS4 and the Xbox One, looks and plays better on Sony's game console.
Gamepur quotes insider @shinobi602 on Twitter who seems to be referring to Watch Dogs when he tweeted about a certain "hacker game" playing better on the PS4.
"1. Upcoming hacker game, 900p/30FPS XBO, 1080p/30FPS PS4," @shinobi602 tweets, seemingly in reference to the upcoming action-adventure title of Ubisoft.
Although Ubisoft is yet to confirm Watch Dogs' resolution on the PS4 and the Xbox One, @shinobi602's leak seems to fail at surprising gamers far and wide. Many other games have been reported to play better on Sony's game console and Watch Dogs is simply one that adds to the growing list.
In a Pocket-lint report, game creator Hideo Kojima also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes plays much better on the PS4 at 1080p Full HD as compared to 720p HD on the Xbox One.
A similar scenario is true with Thief, which Jeremy Conrad says almost did not make it to 900p on the Microsoft game console. "@EricMORAND1976 they were struggling to even hit 900p with it from what I heard. Both are locked at 30. Because reasons :/," Conrad tweeted. He also claims that the game runs 1080p/ 30fps as opposed to 900p/ 30fps on the Xbox One in another tweet.
@shinobi602 also hinted on an upcoming Polish game, which Gamepur believes is the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, playing better on the Sony PS4.
"2. Certain upcoming Polish game 720p/30FPS XBO, 900p/PS4 (working hard to keep 1080p)," tweeted @shinobi602.
Although Watch Dogs allegedly plays poorer on Microsoft's next gen game console, there is no stopping the Ubisoft game from its Spring 2014 release after being delayed from a 2013 launch date. The title is already available for pre-order on the game's official website.
