'Star Wars: Battlefront 3' Gameplay & Release Date: Boba Fett Details Revealed, Xbox One Bundle Won't Come
Bounty hunter Boba Fett is more deadly than ever in the new "Star Wars: Battlefront". The reboot will feature a stronger, faster and sleeker Fett, an exciting prospect for many long-time players and "Star Wars" fans.
He may be a villain in the "Star Wars" universe, but Fett is the ultimate fighting superstar in the game. According to EA, the newest iteration of Fett is designed to make him a "dreaded force in battle."
The galaxy's most notorious bounty hunter is equipped with a jetpack that offers players unprecedented mobility and a good option for attacking and shooting from the sky. With access to flight and a deadly arsenal including an EE-3 Carbine Rifle and two wrist launchers, Fett becomes one of the favorites for players of the "Star Wars: Battlefront."
Developer DICE senior producer Jamie Keen explained in an official statement that the weaponry of the bounty hunter in the game was inspired largely by his film persona.
"As originally portrayed in the films, Boba Fett has a wealth of gadgets at his disposal but we only see him use a fraction of these in the films," Keen said. "There's much more than the jetpack and blaster rifle going on. Boba Fett's got a disintegrator pistol, a flame pack in one arm, rockets, dart launchers, and even lasers. So there was a lot to choose from before we wound up with the final loadout."
Meanwhile, it was also revealed by EA Games that there are no plans to release a special Xbox One Bundle for "Star Wars: Battlefront".
In a Q&A segment on the official website of the game, community manager Mathew Everett shot down rumors of an Xbox One bundle saying, "The exclusive console for 'Star Wars: Battlefront' is limited to PlayStation 4."
During the community segment, Everett also confirmed that PS4 owners may buy standalone versions of the classic Star Wars games, while the "Battlefront" game will offer Deluxe and Standard editions. Pre-orders are not ongoing as of now, but it will be announced soon, as well as custom PS4 bundle controllers.
Gamers will be glad to hear of playable indoor and outdoor areas, while the "Star Wars: Battlefront" will implement "a progression system that will unlock items [like weapons and gadgets] as you rank up." Players will be able to enjoy the missions offline whether solo or co-op.
The much-anticipated "Star Wars: Battlefront" will debut on November 17 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
