Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Release Date, Gameplay: 20th Anniversary Will Feature DLC Items
Pro Evolution Soccer has always looked for ways to compete with EA Sports' FIFA video game. Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is developer Konami's chance to prove they can create an even better soccer simulator.
This is Pro Evolution Soccer's 20th anniversary, and if Konami continues where they left off with Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, the 2016 version will be excellent, Squawka reports.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special edition of the game. The game will include a gold steelbook and plenty of downloadable content (DLC) for the myClub mode.
There are plenty of licensed teams available in Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, with teams and leagues from Europe, Asia and South America. However, missing from the game are the two biggest leagues in Europe, the Premier League and Bundesliga. Konami was only able to get licenses for two Premier League teams because of an exclusive partnership with EA.
Unofficial names will be given to the remaining 18 English clubs. For instance, the name for Arsenal is simply North London. Unfortunately, this means that these teams will have generic uniforms and logos as well.
The excellent gameplay of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 should make up for these generic teams. Even though its just in its demo phase, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is already gaining praise as the Best Sports Game at Gamescon last month.
Graphics have been improved, and so has the gameplay. Players move more naturally in Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 than they do in FIFA, and the soccer simulation is excellent. Players will be able to execute accurate crossing passes and convert them into extremely satisfying goals. The gameplay for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 should make this the best game in the 20-year series.
IGN reports that Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will run slightly below 1080p on the Xbox One to focus on higher frames per second and quality. This shouldn't be that noticeable though.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 will be available in North America on Sept. 15 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and the PC.
