Manchester City remained unscathed, while Manchester United took a costly defeat in Week 4 of the 2015-16 English Premier League season.

Manchester City 2 - 0 Watford

Manchester City listed their fourth victory in as many games this season, as they cruised to a 2-0 win against Watford in front of more than 50,000 fans at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Manchester City had a slow start in the first half, which ended without a goal for both teams. Raheem Sterling, who is playing in his first year with the club, broke the silence in the 47th minute, while Fernandinho netted another goal nine minutes later to give City a comfortable lead.

With the victory against Watford, Manchester City have now won 10 consecutive Premier League matches dating back to last season. They are alone on top of the standings with 12 points in four games.

Swansea City 2 - 1 Manchester United

Manchester United dropped out of the Top 4 in the standings after taking a painful 2-1 defeat to Swansea City on Sunday at Liberty Stadium in Wales.

Both teams failed to score a goal in the first half. Juan Mata then gave Manchester United a 1-0 lead three minutes into the second half, but Swansea City got into their groove. Andrew Ayew scored the equalizer in the 61st minute, while Bafetimbi Gomis gave Swansea City the lead five minutes after Ayew's strike.

The defeat pushed Manchester City down to No. 5 in the standings with seven points from two wins, one loss and one draw. On the other hand, Swansea City are now fourth in the standings with eight points from two victories and two draws.

West Ham United 3 - 0 Liverpool

Meanwhile, West Ham United ended their losing streak at Anfield after running away with an impressive 3-0 win against Liverpool on Saturday.

Manuel Lanzini scored in the third minute, Mark Noble made it 2-0 in the 29th minute, while Diafra Sakho put the icing on the cake in extra time for West Ham United, who won for the first time at Anfield since 1963.
