WWE Raw Spoilers, Preview for Aug 31, 2015: Sting Confirmed, Will Open Monday Night's Show
WWE confirmed Sting will open "Monday Night Raw" tonight, a week after returning from hiatus since April.
Last week, "Raw" concluded with Sting's return, as he attacked WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Immediately after the show, Triple H announced Sting will face Rollins at "Night of Champions" later in September for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Sting will not compete for the United States Championship.
Former United States Champion John Cena will likely continue his feud with Rollins in an attempt to regain the aforementioned title he lost at "SummerSlam." If Cena does continue his Rollins feud, then fans can expect Rollins to perform twice within "Night of Champions."
The Divas Revolution advances for Team PCB. The first Divas Beat the Clock challenge has been confirmed for Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Paige, and the winner of the shortest match time will compete for Nikki Bella's Divas Championship. It is unknown who will face each PCB member, but Instagram posts indicate Team B.A.D. and perhaps even Emma.
On Sunday, WWE confirmed Rusev will compete against Dolph Ziggler in a rematch from "SummerSlam." The match will likely push the narrative of a future mixed tag-team match between Rusev with Summer Rae and Ziggler with Lana at "Night of Champions."
Last week. The Wyatt Family gained a member with Braun Strowman. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will likely encounter another attack by the Wyatts, as they did last Monday and Thursday on "SmackDown." At some point, Ambrose and Reigns will have to find a third member to balance the Wyatts' numbers.
The Dudley Boyz are back. Following a huge response last Monday, the duo competed in their first WWE match in nearly a decade against The Ascension. On Monday, the Dudleys will continue to break tables, as WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day attempt to break their momentum. The Prime Time Players, who lost their tag titles at "SummerSlam," have yet to receive their rematch against New Day.
In other news, Kevin Owens needs to figure out what's next for him. Will he continue a match against Cesaro?
"Monday Night Raw" airs weekly at 8 p.m. EDT on the USA Network.
