Ross made good on his promise, releasing the single "Foreclosures" at 3:05 p.m. on Monday via SoundCloud He also announced his new album "Black Dollar" will be released on Thursday.
The last time Ross released new music was his November 2014 seventh studio album titled "Hood Billionaire." Since then, fans have only seen him featured in French Montana's "Lose It" track and music video that was released Aug. 3, which also includes rapper Lil Wayne.
The hip hop star has made headlines this year for run-ins with the law, like being arrested for marijuana possession, pistol whipping two groundskeepers and fighting in a nightclub following the NBA All-Star game.
In June, Ross and his bodyguard, Nadrian James, allegedly beat and pistol whipped two property managers who worked and lived at the rapper's Atlanta-based mansion. Ross was furious that the employees threw a party while he was away without his permission, according to police.
The rapper was placed on home confinement, but his attorney moved to have that lifted because it restricted his ability to earn income.
A Fayette County, Georgia judge ruled Aug. 13 that Ross would be allowed to leave the state so he can go on tour, according to WSBTV. His itinerary has to be sent to the district attorney's office. He must also go home within two hours of returning to Georgia.
It was a win for the rapper, whose real name is William Roberts.
"Feels real good just to go out," Ross told Channel 2 Action News. "Everybody that supported you, your fans. And everybody that's been sending their love."
