If there's anything you should believe of Kanye West is his outspoken nature that tends to surprise everyone the moment he opens his mouth.

During the MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye made clear of his intention to run for the President of the United States by dropping the bombshell after accepting his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. A video of his announcement can also be viewed on the Hollywood Life. Kanye West, 38, has made it a habit of making a momentous evening into something very disappointing, and, not to mention, crazy. If this is his way of getting attention, he's successfully doing it every single year.

According to ABC News, the announcement even reached the White House where Josh Earnest, White House Press Secretary, said "he looks forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."

The statement came while the White House Press Secretary was on board the Air Force One on their way to Alaska with the U.S. President. Kanye West has been one of the many Hollywood personalities, who are very outspoken about their views on the political aspect of the country, but his outrageous announcement just went overboard.

Kanye West's outspoken nature has also touched several political issues before including former President George W. Bush's action after the Hurricane Katrina. He criticized how the government responded to the calamity; apparently, West was not satisfied by the actions taken.

Kanye West plans to start his supposed campaign for the 2020 elections through his music, by making a record solely for the campaign. According to the Hollywood Life, Kanye's wife Kim actually believes her husband is seriously considering his bid to run for president by 2020. An insider said that "Kim thinks Kanye is what the country really needs."

The MTV Video Music Awards also paved way to Taylor Swift and Kanye West's longstanding gap after he interrupted her speech in 2006 VMAs, saying that Beyonce instead deserves the award.

According to the Sky News, Taylor presented Kanye the Video Vanguard award, even implying how much she admires the rapper, saying, "The whole world new about our exchange during the VMAs but most people don't know his album 'College Dropout' was the first album I bought on iTunes when I was 12." Kanye West responded by saying that if he has to be in the same situation again, the incident could have not happened given how his circumstances have changed now.
