Halo 5: Guardians is being previewed with a cinematic trailer. The trailer shows off the game's excellent graphics and nonstop gun battles, Cinema Blend reports.

The beginning of the video shows Spartan Locke being briefed in a Pelican dropship. Along with his Fireteam Osiris team, Locke learns that five human colonies have been hit by Forerunner attacks in recent days.

Catherine Halsey has contacted the United Nations Space Command with information on the attacks, but she is hard to reach since she has been captured by Covenant forces.

Joining Spartan Locke in the Fireteam Osiris is Edward Buck, played by Nathan Fillion in the trailer. Buck appeared in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, and is a former Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Now he's on Locke's team and will be seen throughout the game.

Fireteam Osiris will be put into dangerous territory to rescue Halsey. During the rescue mission, the team may face Covenant commander Jul 'Mdama, who might be holding Halsey.

After being briefed on their mission, the Fireteam dives out of the Pelican and approaches land without parachutes. As they are gliding toward the ground, they see other aircraft firing at each other.

As they are getting ready to touch down on land, the Fireteam ready their weapons, and the instant they hit the ground, they start firing at enemies. Every enemy they see they either blast with their guns or punch with their fists.

Locke's ultimate mission is finding the Master Chief, who has turned from a friend to an enemy. Locke must find out if the Master Chief will forever be a traitor or if they can join forces.

Halo 5: Guardians will be released around the world on Oct. 27. Players can pre-order two special editions of the game, either the $100 limited edition or the $250 collector's edition.
