The latest iPhones haven't been released yet, but the buzz is already growing on what comes after. The iPhone 7 watch begins.

According to a report from Game Zone that translated a release from Feng, speculations have surfaced on mega tech company Apple moving away from metal casings. This is surprising, since the metal material has always conveyed a premium product more than any other type of casing. They've also used glass and plastic on their products, particularly phones.

However, Apple has always been one to set standards, not simply follow them. The market may be looking at a new standard for high-end mobiles then, as the company reportedly signed patents for ceramic and liquidmetal.

In another report from The Week, it was revealed that those who are hoping to get stronger and more long-lasting batteries for the new Apple smartphones will be disappointed with the gadgets. According to the news site, the battery capacity of the new iPhone 6s or 7 will go from 1810 milliampere hours to 1715 mAh, which amounts to a 5.3% power drop. For 6s Plus or 7 Plus, the battery capacity will drop  and the large-screened model will drop from 2910 to 2750 mAh, a 5.5% power drop.

Since battery life is already a weakness of the existing iPhones, the further worsening of this aspect may spell disaster for the brand. Advanced software are said to fix this problem, although it's unclear yet how much. According to a report from Telegraph UK, the new iOS 9 is said to more energy efficient with its Low Power mode and updates, which can add up to an hour to the battery cycle.

Other features that the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are said to include are an impressive 12-megapixel camera, Force Touch technology that allows for more efficiency, and a new rose-gold colored model.

The Apple event will be held on September 9. Among the products expected to be launched during the event is the new iPhone. The new Apple TV box is also rumored to be dropping during the event, with unprecedented Siri voice control and gaming support. The new box might run with a fresh iOS 9 interface and include a software development kit (SDK) for developers, according to Telegraph. The box will also support Homekit for appliances.
