ASUS USA Zen AIO S Specs, Review: Computer Maker Introduces iMac-like Desktop, Intel Compute Stick
ASUS is set to release an all-in-one computer that looks similar to Apple's iMac. Even the pricing of the ASUS Zen AiO S will be similar to the iMac.
ASUS unveiled the Zen AiO S at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, Germany, Tech Radar reports.
Two separate models of the Zen AiO S will be made and they will both use Intel's new Skylake processors. The 24-inch computer packs all of the components into one piece. The Verge noted that one model will cost about $1,230 and will come with an Intel Core i5-6400T processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and a GeForce GTX 950M mobile graphics solution.
Spend about $1,700 and customers can get an Intel Core i7-6700T and 16 GB of RAM. The storage will be double to 2 TB and a GTX 960M graphics card will be included.
The screen on the ASUS Zen AiO S will be a touchscreen display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. An Intel RealSense camera and a built-in 16W six speaker Asus SonicMaster Premium sound system also come inside the unit.
The new USB 3.1 type C port will be offered on the ASUS Zen AiO S and WiFi is also built-in. The machine will run Windows 10 for its operating system.
No on-sale date has been announced for the ASUS Zen AiO S all-in-one device.
ASUS is also going small with their VivoStick, a mini computer that is plugged into an HDMI port. The Compute Stick device is powered by a Cherry Trail processor and runs Windows 10.
The goal of the VivoStick is to deliver a full computer experience in a small stick that is paired with a keyboard and mouse via a Bluetooth connection. The VivoStick simply plugs into any TV with an HDMI port, and it starts working.
