Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Fake Engagement: Kim Seen Wearing Ring Before Proposal; Was It All an Act for KUWTK?
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's recently televised engagement on Keeping Up with the Kardashians was surely worth watching: it was every girl's dream. The husband rented out the entire San Francisco Giants' baseball stadium, their dear family and friends were hiding in the dugouts, and there were candles burning, 50-piece orchestra and most importantly, a huge diamond ring. This might sound a bit disappointing to some, however it has now been claimed that the couple may have faked their romantic moment.
The long-anticipated proposal hit TV screens on Sunday, Feb. 17, and the meticulous viewers spotted the reality star wearing her extravagant 15-carat diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz in the previous week's episode "A Surprise Engagement Pt. 1," which previously aired on Sunday, Feb. 9.
In detail, it was pointed out that the 33-year-old was seen wearing the glittering band in a scene that showed her putting away clothes for the pair's baby daughter, North West, while her sisters Kourtney and Khloé talked about her behind her back.
So what does it take to make a television show more exciting, full of drama? Producer Russell Jay was forced to testify under oath last year in a 165-page deposition that at least two scenes of the series were "scripted, re-shot or edited" in order to make Kris Humphries look like the villain of the failed relationship after Kim Kardashian decided she wanted a divorce from him back in 2011.
With the shows averaging around impressive 2.4 million viewers, KUWTK has reportedly been renewed for a further three seasons in a deal worth an alleged $40 million.
