House of Cards Season 2 Release Date, Cast, and Rumors: How Will Show Pan Out In Third Season?
The hit series House of Cards became very popular in 2013. On the release of the first episodes for the second season last week, a lot of people were very ecstatic. Those who missed out on watching the first season did binge-watching; meaning they finished all 13 episodes of the first season just before the release of the first episode of the second season. In fact, it was reported that there were 31.7 million users who tried finishing the entire season in United States alone. The number of viewers was so large that even President Obama tweeted a plea that no one should be a spoiler.
This season, several changes were expected from the series. There should be some fast tracking especially since there was quite a drag during the first season in establishing the plot and introducing the characters. It was expected that Claire would be depicted as someone who is more controlling and an equal with her husband. One of the biggest surprises this season is how Zoe Barnes died after being shoved into an oncoming train by Frank Underwood. This is where most of the mysteries and questions this season came from: What was Frank's motivation for doing it himself? Why would a man who was soon to become the U.S. Vice President carry out such an action? Could he not have let someone else do the dirty work for him?
The interesting twists in the plot this season has given more ways for more people to subscribe to the hit series. In fact, its sudden popularity and the increase of binge-watchers paved the way for some studies to be conducted, studies which included the research habits of the watchers and the reasons for watching or binge-watching the hit series. With how the season progresses, more revelations about the watching habits of the audience is expected to inform the next season.
