Sea of Thieves' Xbox One, PC Release Date: Gamers Will Get Best Game from Rare, Says Microsoft Exec
Kudo Tsunoda of Microsoft did not hesitate when he stated that "Sea of Thieves" is, by far, Rare's best video game ever. According to Gamespot, the Microsoft executive said this during an interview with the Official Xbox Magazine.
In the interview, posted via GamesRadar, Tsunoda also implied that Rare's "Sea of Thieves" does not only let its fans play the best game ever but also enables them to participate and create game memories that will remain part of their game play all throughout. He also added, "It's about enabling people to create their own stories through limitless possibilities, and I think that's what Rare has always done."
A pirate-themed video game, one of the best characteristic of "Sea of Thieves" is its ability to occupy in several players that will explore the place and have all its features applied in its patch of the game.
In a video post by Gamer Head Lines, they featured the video trailer of "Sea of Thieves," which was shown during the E3 conference. The video aims to deliver the whole concept of the game to their fans and those who have been waiting for its launch date. "Sea of Thieves" is a Microsoft-exclusive game, meaning it will only be available on Xbox One and PC.
Tsunoda also stressed out that Rare has a specific specialty when it comes to capitalizing on user-generated material that as the game develops on, Rare will use the information contributed by its players in order to update certain parts of the game.
User-generated information is a big factor when developing a game as you directly target what the player needs or want for the game — no speculations or second guessing on what may succeed the next time around.
Quoting Tsunoda in the interview, via GamesRadar, he said "I think what you're gonna see in Sea of Thieves as we go forward and start talking more about the game is how [the studio is] enabling that kind of player-generated emotional and memory-driven stories."
As a tribute to Rare's 30 years of existence, Microsoft released an Xbox bundle that will feature some of Rare's best video games in the past including "Banjo-Kazooie," "Perfect Dark" and "Kameo." The three retro games are just some of the 30 games included in the Xbox bundle.
There is no official statement on the release date of "Sea of Thieves." However, fans can expect that it is a Windows 10 and Xbox One exclusive when it finally comes out.
