Popstar Taylor Swift was both thrilled and surprised to learn that she won her first Emmy at the 2015 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Los Angeles.
Swift won the Original Interactive Program Emmy for her American Express "Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience" project. The project is an app that enables fans to enjoy a cinematic, interactive musical experience starring the singer. Fans can explore a stunning house, filled with people and objects that were captured with 360 degree cameras. The piece is scored with audio based on her single "Blank Space." It also features the original "Blank Space" music video.
Swift was unable to attend the 2015 Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony while performing on "The 1989 World Tour" to support her latest album, "1989."
The Emmy was shipped overnight to St. Paul, Minnesota where Swift performed for a sold-out crowd on Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center as part of her tour.
The "Wildest Dreams" singer, 25, posted several photos to social media capturing her excitement.
"WHEN THEY OVERNIGHT YOU AN EMMY I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A THING," she posted Saturday on Instagram with a picture of her seated in the middle of her world tour dancers and staff holding the golden statue.
The "Bad Blood" singer posted the photo below on Saturday with the caption, "We have no chill. The Emmy has rendered us chill-less."
"If you need us, we'll be taking selfies with the Emmy ALL DAY," she wrote as the caption for another Emmy-inspired picture.
The country star turned pop singer won big at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony as well. Swift took home four awards: Best Pop Video, Best Female Video for her song "Blank Space," Best Collaboration, and the most prominent award of the night, Video of The Year for "Bad Blood."
Swift's world tour is scheduled through Dec. 12.
