He's going to trial! Justin Bieber, through his attorneys, have rejected a plea deal put forth by the Miami prosecutor, and as such, the DUI case is going to trial! 

According to UPI, the "Baby" singer refused to plead no contest to the DUI charges -- a deal which would mean no jail time for him, but would result in him submitting to random drug testing, commit to 40 hours of community service, and attending an alcohol awareness course. 

The reason for the rejection of the offer? Bieber doesn't want to submit to random drug testing, and the offer would not stand if all of the terms of the agreement weren't met. 

And even though the credibility of one of the police officers has been brought into question -- the arresting officer has been accused of misconduct more than 15 times in his career -- the Miami prosecutors still feel as though they have a case they can win, and are willing to go forward with the prosecution. Bieber's attorney, Roy Black, has also confirmed that he's getting ready for trial.

Furthermore, according to TMZ, it's likely that no further plea deals will be proffered now that Bieber has rejected the deal. If Bieber is convicted of all the charges after the trial, he faces up to two and a half years in prison.

On Jan. 23, 2014, Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), driving with an (over six months) expired licence and for resisting arrest without violence. According to police, Bieber was driving a Lamborghini and R&B singer Khalil, who was also arrested, was driving a Ferrari. He was released on a $2,500 bond. A post-arrest drug test conducted by police allegedly found that Bieber had THC (a component in marijuana) and the anti-anxiety medication Xanax in his system at the time of his arrest. On Jan. 29, 2014, Bieber surrendered to Toronto police, who charged him with assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto in December 2013.
