'Persona 5' Release Date: New PS4 & PS3 Game Won't Come This Year, Here's Why
During the recent Tokyo Game Show, Atlus announced that "Persona 5" will not make it this year and states the summer of 2016 as the alternative launch date.
According to Attack of the Fan Boy, last August, Atlus made the announcement that "Persona 5" will launch during the final quarter of 2015. However, based on the announcement on the video game's trailer at the Tokyo Game Show, it looks like fans will have to wait a little more before it will be finally made available on their gaming consoles.
While Atlus did not give concrete details on why it was delayed, the possibility of developing the video game's graphics could be one. As manifested on their trailer at the TGS, the game apparently needs more improvement.
Atlus, however, did not disappoint fans when they delivered the trailer during the Tokyo Game Show. In fact, according to Attack of the Fan Boy, it was huge and possibly the longest trailer ever that largely introduced the game's whole concept.
According to an article from Siliconera, chief director of the "Persona" series Katsura Hashino asked fans for their understanding on the delay of the game. He cited that although every part of the game has already been running and functioning, it is also their duty to test and complete its maintenance before they launch it. He assured fans that the game is actually on track but needs more time to achieve a better gaming experience.
A report from Polygon also praised "Persona 5's" beautiful trailer, despite the recently announced delay of its launching date. The "Persona" series is one of the most anticipated games of 2015 according to the Verge, and to announce its delay for few months more, fans are bound to be disappointed.
The "Persona" series has been very popular because of its concept of balancing school, life outside school and the unending challenges of fighting demons in their social surroundings. Although the trailer has been purely launched in Japanese, players can significantly relate to the whole concept of the game.
"Persona 5" will launch in Japan in the summer of 2016 and the last quarter of the same year for North America. The game is currently developed for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Hashino also promised that where main characters are concerned, fans can expect great display of talent in demon fights, scrimmage on dungeons and the whole game's battle sequence.
