Nick Cannon is rumored to be dating a "younger version" of soon-to-be-ex-wife Mariah Carey.

OK magazine reports the 34-year-old "America's Got Talent" host is now hooking up with former show contestant Samantha Johnson.

"Nick obsesses over how much she resembles his ex," said a source. "He's gotten a kick out of comparing their smiles."

Word is Cannon and Johnson tried to keep things strictly professional while they were on the set of the show, but a source reveals "Everyone knew they were hooking up."

News of Cannon's new romance comes on the heels of Carey going more public with intimate details about her whirlwind romance with Australian billionaire boyfriend James Packer.

The "Hero" singer recently gushed to Entertainment Tonight how much fun she and Packer are having together. The 45-year-old Carey and Packer began dating this summer, several months after she split from Cannon, and have made no secret of their growing affinity for one another.

Not long ago, the two traveled to Israel, reportedly to meet with Packer's spiritual adviser, and a source close to him told reporters, "James wants to marry her sooner rather than later, and she is very open to the idea."

Reports are the two have also discussed having a child together, which would add to the twin 4-year-olds Carey already has with Cannon.

"Mariah feels that having a child with James would be a blessing from God," a source said. "She wants another child and is telling friends she's not too old."

Since officially splitting from Carey in January, Cannon has also been romantically linked to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica White, hip-hop model Amber Rose and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole Murphy.
