Manchester City took their first defeat of the season but are still on top of the English Premier League 2015-16 season standings, while Manchester United moved up to second spot.
West Ham United 2 - 1 Manchester City
West Ham United ended Manchester City's perfect start this season after escaping with a 2-1 win in front a stunned crowd at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Victor Moses immediately silenced the crowd as he netted a right-footed shot from outside the penalty box to give West Ham United a 1-0 lead during the sixth minute of the match.
Diafra Sakho scored another one for West Ham United during the 31st minute of the match off an assist from Pedro Obiang after a corner.
Kevin De Bruyne trimmed the lead down to one as he scored his first goal for the club before the half-time break. However, Manchester City fell short after failing to score an equalizer in the second half of the match despite having several scoring opportunities.
With the win, West Ham United scored their 12th point in the table and are currently sharing the third spot in the standings with Leicester City.
Manchester United 3 - 2 Southampton
Meanwhile, Manchester United are now second in the standings after scoring a hard-earned 3-2 victory against Southampton on Sunday at The Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium.
Manchester United went down early as Graziano Pellé scored the first goal of the match for Southampton. Summer signing Anthony Martial came to the Red Devil's rescue with an equalizer during the 34th minute of the match, followed by his second goal in the 50th minute to give Manchester United the lead.
Juan Mata then made it 3-1 for Manchester United. Pellé also netted his second goal in the 86th minute, but Southampton failed to get another one before the final whistle sounded.
Martial showed impressive form for the second consecutive game after also striking a goal during their 3-1 win over Liverpool in Week 5.
